Denver for the Weekend

Thursday evening, my sister-in-law called and said, “J, will you come to Denver this weekend to watch the kids while I celebrate my 30th birthday?”
I said, “Sure, when do I need to be there?”
The trip was a short one, but it satisfied a certain need I have been feeling lately to spend time with family. I went to the zoo with my niece and nephew, had a pedicure with my sister-in-law, went up to the mountains with my brother, and had a home cooked meal with my aunt and uncle. It was a fantastic weekend!!
